Community Acupuncture training or experience are highly regarded, as are familiarity with distal acupuncture styles such as Dr.Tan/Tung/Miriam Lee.
Having worked as a server or other high paced service job would be considered if no experience in a Community Acupuncture setting.
Motivated to market and grow your patient base.
Willingness to do administrative and/or marketing tasks to maintain a team environment and help the clinic grow.

Preferred experience:

Prior experience in a community acupuncture or other high-volume practice.
Herbal training.

A thriving practice in Old Town Lafayette, Colorado is interested in bringing in a new licensed acupuncturist that can support their vision and work closely with owner, Mindi K. Counts and her talented team.   
Mindi is a Five Element Acupuncturist with additional training in TCM and herbal medicine (both Eastern and Western herbs) and as such, the IOCH practice is quite integrative. Mindi also runs a nonprofit (Inner Ocean Empowerment Project 501(c)3) and travels for several weeks a year to host health clinics and teach programs in vulnerable communities (Nepal, Thai-Burma border, India, etc.).
Over the last couple of years, IOCH has steadily grown into a healing center with 4 amazing bodyworkers and 2 incredible acupuncturists and herbalists. We are looking for a 3rd acupuncturist to join our team. You will have the opportunity to learn from Mindi not only vital practice management skills, but also her integrative approach to patient care and what it takes to watch clients get better! This is a position with long-term potential.

Our associate will be invited to work between 12-40 hours/week. We will offer you front desk reception services, two treatment rooms, a waiting room, and herbal pharmacy during your shifts at the office so that you can overlap appointments and focus on doing what you do best: practice Chinese medicine!
Our clinic is currently open Monday-Friday, 10am to 7pm and occasionally on the weekends. Our new associate will be asked to be available for some Saturdays as well. We ask that you start with us at minimum 2, half-days each week on a consistent schedule and build up your hours from there.

Mondays 9:00am-2:00pm Tuesdays 9:00am-2:00pm Wednesdays 2:00pm-7:00pm

The perfect candidate is passionate, out to make a difference in the world. They are also reliable, compassionate, and dedicated to giving patients the most comprehensive care possible. The candidate should also be open to addressing conflict, taking responsibility for themselves, and able to communicate openly and honestly.
Standard job duties include:
● Conducting detailed patient intake, including questioning, musculoskeletal assessments, channel palpation, etc.
● Provide high-quality treatments, including manual therapies (cupping, gua sha, moxa, etc.)
● Develop personalized treatment plans and communicate those plans effectively
● Coach patients in diet and lifestyle changes
● Record complete SOAP notes and execute potential requests from insurance providers
● Share expertise! Write a blog post each month about TCM/Five Element acupuncture topics. (IOCH team can help you come up with topics for this, if assistance is needed)
● Learn more! IOCH believes that education is key for employees and patients. The candidate must be dedicated to continuing education.
● Light office duties will be required. Logistics:
We currently have 1 full-time office manager who would support you with day to day patient care. Insurance billing is also handled separately. You will be expected to provide monthly metrics and necessary paperwork when billing insurance. We can guide you in all of this. Additionally, we have one amazing marketing and communications manager who will support you in uncovering your “specialty” in the practice and support you in marketing it to our community.
